Job Description:

Systems Engineer

GDIT JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects

  • Perform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end

  • Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining, application software, and system management tools.

  • Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects

  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.

EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-4 years of related systems engineering experience.

  • Any relevant certifications such as Security +, CompTIA CASP (*) or CC.

  • SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts and best practices.

  • Familiarity with Keeper Security or similar password management solutions.

  • Experience with implementing and configuring PAM solutions in enterprise environments.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following:

  • Experience with multi-tenant enterprise environments.

  • Experience with SIEM enterprise solutions.

  • Knowledge of REST API configurations and queries would be a plus.

  • Experience working directly with ATO process and procedures.

  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.

  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash would be a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
