Description

We are providing an opportunity for a Bookkeeper in St. Paul, Minnesota, within the Non-Profit sector. This role involves managing financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The work will be conducted remotely, offering a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including data entry, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations

• Manage the processing of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting systems

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Conduct month-end close procedures and prepare financial statements

• Manage payroll processes and ensure all payments are made in a timely manner

• Use QuickBooks for financial management and reporting

• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping within the non-profit sector.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and month-end close procedures.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with payroll processes and related software.

• Proficient in data entry with high level of accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

• Knowledge of legal and financial regulations relevant to non-profit organizations.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Relevant certification or degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred.

• Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
