Robert Half Staff Accountant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Staff Accountant for a permanent position within a prestigious company. As the Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting throughout the monthly close. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. Responsibilities:

  • Daily recording and reconciliation of financial data, including Bad Debt Write-off’s, Recoveries, and System Postings.

  • Gathering the Month End Financial Statement Package and Maintenance of the Financial Statements Binders for the CFO and Controller.

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

  • Completion of supporting schedules and flux analyses.

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account analyses in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Completion of monthly account reconciliation for assigned areas Balance Sheet Accounts.

  • Responsibility for the reconciliation of Consolidated Hospital AR, Bad Debt, and NPR schedules.

  • Assistance with year-end financial audit as needed.

    Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant position include and are not limited to:

  • 2+ years of experience in related work

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.

  • Excellent support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Success driven attitude, flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of special projects and new responsibilities

  • Ability to develop goals, establish priorities and meet deadlines
