Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper in Everett, Washington. This role primarily revolves around managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. You will be part of a dynamic team and your contribution will greatly help in maintaining our financial transparency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.

• Processing and preparing invoices for payments and verifying these invoices are accurate.

• Assisting the Payroll Specialist in the timely and accurate processing of bi-monthly payroll for employees located in multiple states.

• Coordinating with HR to process new hires, terminations, leaves, and other changes.

• Managing regulatory filings, notices, audits, and other communications from federal and state agencies.

• Working closely with our payroll vendor on system administration, maintenance, and reporting needs.

• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, payroll and benefit reconciliations, and assisting with quarterly reporting and external financial audits.

• Responsible for the month-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, accounts receivable/cash and accounts payable transactions.

• Identifying and proposing solutions for automation and process improvement while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

• Assisting with the management of the Petty Cash Reimbursement process.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in bookkeeping

• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Competence in data entry tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with payroll processes

• Knowledge of onboarding and termination processes

• Understanding of regulatory filings

• Experience with external audits

• Ability to make journal entries accurately and efficiently

• Familiarity with Paylocity software

• Experience in preparing monthly financial statements

• Proven ability in process improvement

• Experience in handling petty cash.
